Eligibility: Please note all swimmers must swim in TWO dual or invitational meets with your team. They do not need to be LSC vs. LSC team.SWIMMER’S ELIGIBILITY: Eligibility for the Conference Meet is determined by reference to the Contra Costa County Championship Swim Meet eligibility rules and is limited to bona-fide members of a Conference Team who have competed in a minimum of two (2) dual or invitational meets (not including Time Trials) representing their entered Team, prior to the Conference Meet. The Conference Championship Meet is intended for recreational swimmers, not year-round swimmers. Any Team that allows, intentionally or otherwise, an ineligible swimmer to enter either an individual or relay event shall be penalized 24 points for each occurrence. Entries for the Conference Meet shall be submitted with the best time achieved during meets in the current recreational swim season.

The 2014 Conference meet is at Acalanes High School, August 2nd and 3rd.

New: Progressive relay at the conference meet this year.  This event will not be scored.  It will happen after the meet ends and before the parents and coaches relays. Event will run – 6&u girl, 6&u boy and so on up through 15-18 boy.

Order of events is as follows:


SUN AM: BACK, FLY, 7/8 & 9/10 IM

Individual Events

1st – 10th place finishers in all age groups shall receive medals.
Consolation heat – 11-20 will get ribbons.

Relay Events: (3) 1st – 3rd place finishers shall each receive a medal. 4th – 6th place finishers shall each receive a ribbon.

High Point: (6) The top boy and girl in each age group, based on total points scored by the swimmer in individual, shall receive a trophy. Ties will result in duplicate awards.

Outstanding Relay Teams: (2) Outstanding boy and girl relay teams will be determined by comparing finishing times to previous meet records.

Two trophies will be awarded, one each to the boys’ and girls’ outstanding relay team.

Heat Winners: Swimmers 10 & Under shall receive Heat winner ribbons (only if not in finals or consoles.)

Participants: All 10 & Under swimmers shall receive participant ribbons.

Record Breakers: Any swimmer that breaks or ties an existing

Championship Meet record will be awarded a blue rosette
Team Awards

Age Group Winner: (6) – The Team which earns the most number of combined individual and relay points in each age group will be awarded a perpetual plaque that rotates annually to the new winner. Second and Third place winners will be awarded Perpetual plaques.

Championship Winner: (3) The team with the highest combined individual and relay points across all age groups will be awarded the Champions plaque. Second and Third place winners will also be awarded plaques.

Most Points per Swimmer: (1) The team with the highest result when dividing total points earned by total number of entered swimmer on the Team will be awarded a trophy. Second and Third place winners will be announced but no trophy given.
Pop Time Award: An award shall be given to the team that has the highest percentage of Pop Times per individual events swum in the preliminary races. For example, if a team has 100 seeded entries, and the seed time is improved in 75 of those races, their percentage would be 75%.

Spirit Award: (1) The winner of this award will be determined by vote by the Conference Board. Each Team shall have only one vote, using a scoring sheet created prior to the Meet and approved by the Board.
Board members may not vote for their own Team. The winner will be awarded a banner/flag that rotates annually to the new winner.

Awards will be given out at a ceremony at the conclusion of the Meet. No awards will be distributed during the meet.
